Product Description The Flatline Barrel System is the first production back spin barrel ever produced. The principle behind the system is Tippmann's newly designed slightly curved barrel, which applies centrifugal force to the ball, creating backspin. Not only does this system offer increased accuracy and distance but also offers flat trajectory for thick brush and canopy play. By minimizing trajectory of the ball and increasing accuracy, you increase the amount of targets which would ordinarily be out of range. The Flatline Barrel System adds 100 feet of flat trajectory GUARANTEED. We are an Authorized Tippmann Dealer!

Worth It August 4, 2006 Mark E. Mueller (Rochester NY) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If your into Scenario games, get this barrel. Increased range, and , most importantly, accuracy get bolted on in about 5 minutes. It only takes a couple shots to get used to the rise of the ball from the curved barrel, and once you got that, 9 out of 10 times your target is painted. Just remember that this isn't a speed ball barrel (or gun) because it is a big cannon looking barrel. It's completely worth the price.
okay September 11, 2005 elf (dallas) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is hard to get used to the paintball dropping then rising, but it greatly increases the distance the paintball travels. Con: Be ready to buy a more expensive grade of paint (marballizer etc.) The cheap paintballs will break in the barrel. overall it is a great product

Increased range ! February 21, 2005 sandman (socal) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Flatline barrel lives up to it's claim of increasing range, no other barrel system can come close to matching the distance. However, the flatline does have some quirks. First, high quality, small diameter paint must be used for the barrel to work best, as a gap between the paintball and the barrel is needed to create the backspin. The barrel must be cleaned often for best performance, as the gelatin from the paintball will build up in the barrel which decreases the amount of backspin, thus decreasing range. The barrel accuracy is also affected by things such as high wind, moisture in the air, and the angle the barrel is held. If the marker is tip sideways at an angle, the paintball will hook, so with practice you can actually get your balls to hook around bunkers at a certain range, which really surprises your opponents. It makes a great addition to your A-5.
The Flatline Rocks August 6, 2004 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Flatline is the best thing a Tippmann owner can have. It is good for woodsball and back and mid players in sup' air. It can make the marker weigh more but with an e-grip or e-bolt this gun is amazing. This is great for games when you need to reach out and touch someone. This thing is loud but that just scaries newbies. Get this for your a-5 or 98 custom right now, for around $120.
